Richard Hammond and leading global experts open the discussion on the future of sustainable mobility at Spark the Future

Internationally renowned automotive journalist and science communicator Richard Hammond will headline Spark the Future, a high-level forum held as an official part of Secto Rally Finland on 31.7.2025 at Jyväskylä Paviljonki. The event brings together leading minds in mobility, technology, and sustainability to explore tomorrow’s solutions – right in the heart of Finland’s legendary WRC rally week.

Best known globally for Top Gear and The Grand Tour, Hammond has in recent years become a strong voice for environmentally responsible innovation. At Spark the Future, he will share insights from his latest venture – a classic car restoration business built on sustainable principles – and reflect on how engine culture can evolve within a changing environmental landscape.

Joining Hammond on stage is an exceptional group of thought leaders:

· Pekka Lundmark, former President and CEO of Nokia, advocate for green digital transformation

Spark the Future is part of the Beyond Rally programme developed by WRC Promoter to support sustainable development in international motorsport. The forum is organised in close collaboration with AKK Sports Oy, the organiser of Secto Rally Finland.
